The journal *CEIbero – Cultura e educação nos impérios ibéricos* (Culture and Education in the Iberian Empires)—ISSN 3086-0083—is a multi-institutional periodical focused on the history of the Iberian Empires (Portugal, Spain, and their overseas territories) from the 16th century through the early decades of the 19th century.
With this focus and the aim of disseminating academic historical knowledge, the journal is affiliated with CEIbero—the "Culture and Education in the Iberian Empires" research group. This group brings together researchers and students from institutions such as the State University of Ponta Grossa, the Federal University of Minas Gerais, the Federal University of Ouro Preto, the Federal University of Pelotas, the Federal University of the Jequitinhonha and Mucuri Valleys, the Federal University of Paraná, the State University of Londrina, the State University of Pará, the University of Coimbra, and the University of Lisbon, among others. CEIbero has been active since 2010, organizing biennial colloquiums and regular online events.
The *CEIbero* journal aims to meet all national and international standards regarding academic excellence, ethical procedures, and the dissemination of knowledge.
Current Issue
Vol. 2 (2026): Revista CEIbero - Cultura e educação nos Impérios Ibéricos
The second issue of *Revista CEIbero*—currently available in "ahead-of-print" format—features original articles addressing the journal's core themes, including studies and approaches related to ongoing research on the history of the Iberian World, historiographical debates, and entries for the Glossary of 18th-century terms.
With the journal accepting articles for review and publishing approved submissions on a rolling basis, contributions continue to be welcomed in the form of original articles within the journal's scope, as well as entries for the Glossary.
