A análise das informações revelou que ainda persiste a tendência de vigilância e ajustamento social como bases das MSE, e que, no contexto permeado de contradições onde são executadas, significados contraditórios também lhes são atribuídos.

Abstract: This article originated from the master’s research that aimed to analyze aspects of proximity and distance between the socio-educational assumptions in the National Socio-Educational System (SINASE) and the Single Social Assistance System (SUAS), and the meanings attributed to the Socio Educational Measures in open environment (MSE-MA) by subjects who experienced them. The analysis of the information revealed that there is still a tendency of surveillance and social adjustment as the basis of MSE, and that, in the context permeated with contradictions where they are executed, contradictory meanings are also attributed to them.
