Propôs-se verificar a existência de ações/atividades direcionadas a gênero e diversidade sexual no âmbito do IFTO, bem como identificar os processos discriminatórios perpetradas no cotidiano escolar. Ancorada no método dialético crítico, a coleta de dados abrangeu a Entrevista Semi-Estruturada no marco da Metodologia Qualitativa. O conteúdo refere-se a uma análise das percepções de gênero e sexualidade por profissionais da educação, sob visão basilar dos direitos humanos.

Abstract: This study aims to make visible the understandings on gender and sexuality in the educational field, through the narratives of the professionals that work on the Student and Public Servant Assistance Program (CAES) of the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology (IFTO) – Palmas Campus in 2015. It’s main propose is to verify the existence of actions or activities that aims at gender and sexual diversity in the IFTO and to identify any discriminatory processes that perpetrate in everyday school life. Anchored in the dialectical method, the data collection included a Semi-Structured Interview and Open Questionnaire using the Qualitative Methodology. The content refers to an analysis of gender and sexuality perceptions by education professionals under basic view of human rights.
