This article exposes the different textual-discursive knowledge, specific to popular communication that takes place on the border between Brazil and Paraguay. The objective is to present a study developed on translingual practices that occur in this hybrid frontier, in the space corresponding to State Mato Grosso do Sul/Brazil, a specific locus, whose cross-border context is formed by Brazilians Paraguayan descendants, Guarani Indians and other Brazilians. In an interdisciplinary approach, such practices were observed in the daily oral communication of its users, highlighted examples, to be studied from the perspective of Cultural Studies, combined with Language and Folkcommunication studies. It was found that the cross-language practices make it possible to resifnify and recombine the identities of the various social actors to make them cross-border hybrid cultures.
