Este ensayo pretende traer un recorrido memorialístico y las evoluciones que ha atravesado la teoría del Folkmarketing durante sus 24 (veinticuatro) años de existencia. Con base en una revisión bibliográfica, buscamos comprender cómo se dio el proceso de construcción de la teoría y los estudios sobre su aplicabilidad en organizaciones públicas y privadas. También postulamos, construimos brevemente la bibliometría de la teoría y su genealogía. El presente ensayo busca, al final de este recorrido, abrir nuevas posibilidades e instigar estudios sobre la aplicabilidad actual de la teoría.
