Este estudo analisa a cobertura jornalística online do conflito entre o cantor de forró/pé-de-serra Flávio José e o cantor sertanejo/agronejo Gusttavo Lima durante a 40ª edição da festa do Maior São João do Mundo em Campina Grande, Paraíba. A pesquisa foca em como os veículos locais e nacionais abordaram o evento, investigando as características do webjornalismo e os possíveis vieses editoriais. Foram analisadas notícias publicadas em portais como G1 Paraíba, Jornal da Paraíba, O Globo e Estadão. Os resultados indicam que a cobertura foi influenciada pelas redes sociais e por notas oficiais, com pouco aprofundamento crítico. Este artigo conclui com uma discussão sobre a necessidade de maior polifonia e profundidade na cobertura jornalística online.
