Este artigo objetiva expor caminhos e desafios para o trabalho acadêmico-científico e/ou técnico-profissional na/da relação entre a Linguística e o Direito. Primeiramente, identificam-se e distinguem-se três caminhos principais na definição de objetos linguístico-jurídicos: Linguística Forense; fala-em-interação e análises do discurso em contexto jurídico; e Direito Linguístico. A partir dessa identificação, destacamos desafios que podem ser enfrentados e, por fim, refletimos sobre uma questão de classe: como ocupar o lugar do “linguista” nos trabalhos possíveis na/da relação entre a Linguística e o Direito.
