Reflections about Brasil’s Home Education proposal: the Bill no. 2401/2019

This text aims to present reflections on the controversy surrounding the discussion on the regulation of Home Education or Homeschooling in Brazil through Bill no. 2401/2019, proposed in the Chamber of Deputies by the Executive Branch. To this end, based on bibliographic research and data collected on the Chamber of Deputies website, some fundamentals that support the proposal are presented, its main concepts; the Project is historically situated; and possible effects are indicated in case of approval. Finally, it is concluded that PL no. 2401/2019 is an anti-democratic measure, as it is against the resolution of the country’s social and educational problems.
