O objetivo desta pesquisa foi analisar a concepção de uma pessoa surdocega sobre Orientação e Mobilidade (O&M) na sua vida diária. O estudo teve como participante uma pessoa com surdocegueira. O método utilizado foi a História de Vida e como técnica a entrevista aberta com apoio de um guia intérprete. A análise de dados ocorreu por meio da transcrição, da categorização e da análise do conteúdo da entrevista, embasada em Bardin. Os resultados foram analisados qualitativamente e concluiu-se que o tato para a comunicação e orientação foram essenciais, além do uso da Libras Tátil. Verificou-se, também, o papel da família, a qual esteve envolvida com as especificidades da surdocegueira do participante. Ressalta-se que o guia-intérprete cumpre valoroso apoio na O&M para pessoas surdocegas.

Abstract
Conception on Guidance and Mobility (G&M) of a deafblind person: Life History Method
The goal of this research was to analyze the conception of a deafblind person in regards to Guidance and Mobility (G&M) within his daily life. This study has as participant a deaf-blind person. The method used was the Life History and as technique the open interview with the support of a guide-interpreter. Data analysis occurred through the transcription, categorization and content analysis of the interview, based on Bardin. The results were analyzed from a qualitative standpoint and the conclusion was that touch was fundamental both for communication and guidance, as well as the use of the tactile version of the Brazilian Language of Signs (Libras). The role of the family, which was involved with the specifics of the participant’s deafblindness was also verified. It is emphasized that the guide-interpreter is of great value in supporting G&M for deaf-blind individuals.

Resumen
Concepción sobre Orientacion y Mobilidad (O&M) de una persona sordociega: Método de Historia de vida
El objetivo de esta investiación fue analizar la concepción de una persona sordociega sobre Orientación y Mobilidad (O&M) en su vida diaria. El estudio tuvo como participante una persona con sordoceguera. El método utilizado fue la Historia de vida y como técnica la entrevista abierta con el apoyo de un guía intérprete. El análisis de datos ocurrió por medio de la transcripción, categorización y análisis de la entrevista, fundamentada en Bardin. Los resultados fueron analizados cualitativamente y se concluyó que el tacto para la comunicación y orientación fueron esenciales, además del uso del Lenguaje de Señas Táctil. Se verificó, también, el papel de la familia, la cual estuvo involucrada con las especificidades de la sordoceguera del participante. Se resalta que el guía intérprete cumple un valioso apoyo en O&M para personas sordociegas.
