Abstract

This article focuses on the elective (dis)affinities between the thoughts of Bauman and Adorno. To this end, it analyzes Bauman’s critique of the German philosopher’s position in The Authoritarian Personality, which also offers the chance to reflect on the senses of emancipatory education in Adorno’s writings, considering the contemporary context, which will also allow them to be read from Bauman’s interpretation.

Keywords: Education. Adorno. Bauman.
