The objective of this research was to outline the pedagogical profile of the graduates - teachers from the Federal Institutes of Education, Science and Technology (Institutos Federais de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia - IFECT) of Brazil - of the area of Teaching of Technical Knowledge, from the Graduate Program in Agricultural Education (Programa de Pós-Graduação em Educação Agrícola – PPGEA) of the Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro (Universidade Federal Rural do Rio de Janeiro - UFRRJ), through their research proposed to the Program: themes and thematic contents, and characterize the area by the choices of these teachers. For such accomplishments, an investigation was promoted in their master’s dissertations, in which, through syntheses and central ideas of the titles, objectives, research subjects and results, it was sought to establish such conjunctures. As a result, it was verified that the PPGEA graduate is a professor that uses the project methodology as a pedagogical proposal, of an interdisciplinary way, promoting the contextualization, and seeking pedagogical renewal through practices that favor the construction of knowledge. Regarding the characterization of the area, it is described through the intention and implementation of methodologies of projects, through instruments that allow the approach of the axes and themes in an interdisciplinary way, in order to construct knowledge in a contextualized way.
