This work analyzed the presence of silence in the construction of narratives by black women, delimitating the intersection of subjectivities in the work with Oral History. The concept of oralitura allowed us to perceive the presence of performativity in the work with memory, and helped us to understand subjectivities. The theoretical-methodological contribution was the studies by Martins (2003) and (2021), Akotirene (2018), Bispo dos Santos (2003), Kilomba (2019), among others. We understand that silence, as a gesture, is an oral textuality of the women by Umbandaum.
