A comunidade pesquisada se amolda a histórica invisibilização do negro no Estado e à segregação territorial e social das comunidades rurais tradicionais. Para obtenção dos resultados foram aplicadas três ferramentas do Diagnóstico Rural Participativo (DRP), bem como entrevistas às famílias quilombolas.
