As praças enquanto espaços públicos constituíram ao longo da história importantes referenciais urbanos de convivência, desempenhando várias funções, como a estética, ambiental, simbólica e social. A investigação teve como objetivo analisar as praças da pequena cidade de Mamborê, no sul do Brasil, através das categorias de análise espacial propostas por Milton Santos: estrutura, função e forma. Utilizou-se pesquisa qualitativa e quantitativa para levantamento dos equipamentos e estruturas seguidas de enquete de opinião dos usuários. Os resultados indicam que a acessibilidade é fundamental para a apropriação das praças, assim a manutenção e organização pelo poder público são essenciais para tornar os espaços mais convidativos, garantindo o acesso e uso coletivo.
