Nestes tempos onde a palavra preservação é tão vigente, principalmente no que se refere às questões ambientais e de sustentabilidade, o zelo pelo patrimônio arquitetônico ganha ênfase na consciência da sociedade, pois é ele que registra a forma da cidade no decorrer do tempo, bem como relembra e eterniza a história e os costumes do lugar.
