Este artigo analisa as mudanças na atividade industrial em Feira de Santana, em especial relativas à implantação do Centro Industrial Norte (CIN), suas características e consequências socioeconômicas. O Centro Industrial Subaé (CIS), primeiro da cidade, foi instalado na década de 1970 e, no decorrer dos anos, percebem-se interesses em expandir essa dinâmica para outras áreas, como o Setor Norte, que não era objeto de intervenções, até então.  A chegada das indústrias ocorreu de modo paulatino a partir de 2010 no CIN e a escolha da área se deu pela localização, incentivos e alterações na lei de uso do solo urbano. As indústrias mantêm interações espaciais com outras áreas e tal dinâmica atrai novas fábricas, isso dentro do contexto de acumulação flexível.
