DL50 DE EXTRATOS VEGETAIS DE EUGENIA CATHARINENSIS EM EMBRIÕES DE GALLUS SP
DL50 OF EUGENIA CATHARINENSIS VEGETABLE EXTRACTS IN GALLUS SP EMBRYOS
Abstract
Knowledge of plant biodiversity, besides being considered a source of chemical models for the synthesis of new molecules, should also be encouraged as a natural resource with possible pharmacological activity. Throughout embryonic development, organic systems are subject to the action of exogenous and endogenous factors that may interfere with the expression of the structural and functional pattern of the animal species. In this study we evaluated the LD50 of plant extracts (hydroalcoholic, diclomethane and ethyl acetate) in Gallus domesticus embryos. Preliminary results show high mortality (100%) of plant extracts ethyl acetate and dichloromethane, while hydroalcoholic was less toxic (about 30%) to embryos. And from these initial data the hydroalcoholic extract will be evaluated separately, determining other biochemical or morphological analyzes.
