Abstract

This article analyzes the implementation of the pilot course on "Petrykivka" Traditional Ukrainian Decorative Painting, linked to the Directorate of Cultural Affairs (DAC) of the Vice-Rectorate for Extension and Cultural Affairs (PROEX) at the State University of Ponta Grossa (UEPG). The study aims to investigate the impact of this interdisciplinary practice as an integrative tool for mental health promotion and art therapy in the academic environment, alongside evaluating the overcoming of language barriers through aesthetic mediation and Generative AI technology. The methodology combined real-time practical demonstration and technological instructional materials. The results (n=6) indicated unanimous efficacy (score 5.0) in relaxation and flow state axes, mitigating chronic anxiety. In conclusion, all students opted for cultural hybridity in their final project ("Petrykivka do Brasil"), validating art as a universal language and a psychosocial device for integration.
