Abstract

The integration between Soil Science teaching and extension activities in elementary schools remains underexplored. This study aimed to report and pedagogically analyze the experience of ExpoMorfo, developed within the project “Extension Masters: Graduate Studies in Contact with Society” at the University of Rio Verde (UniRV), focusing on the popularization of Soil Science and contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The initiative was carried out in two schools in Rio Verde, Goiás, through interactive stations addressing soil origin, morphology, and Brazilian Oxisols, involving 280 students and community members. A descriptive approach was adopted, using dialogical and experiential strategies. Learning outcomes were assessed through a gamified quiz on Kahoot consisting of 10 questions, and participants’ perceptions were collected through a structured questionnaire. Results indicated an average score of 90% correct answers and positive evaluations. It is concluded that ExpoMorfo promoted meaningful learning and strengthened university extension.
