Abstract

The curricularization of extension represents an advance in the integration of teaching, research, and outreach, bringing academic training closer to social demands. This article reflects on this approach based on the experience of a Pharmacy student in the Health Education project at the State University of Ponta Grossa (UEPG). The qualitative-exploratory methodology involved a literature review and analysis of extension practices. The results showed that integrating extension activities into the curriculum strengthens the bond between the university and the community, fostering communicative, ethical, and humanistic competencies. It is concluded that the curricularization of extension enhances learning, broadens students’ social awareness, and consolidates the university’s role as an agent of transformation.
