Abstract

Educadança is a university extension event linked to the Dança UEPG na Comunidade extension project at the Universidade Estadual de Ponta Grossa (UEPG), functioning as an instrument for the inseparability of teaching, research, and extension in initial Physical Education teacher training. This study analyzes the project's trajectory of institutional and pedagogical consolidation from 2017 to 2025. Drawing on a qualitative and documentary approach, with a corpus of 13 documents examined through Bardin's Content Analysis, the research highlights the transition from a technically oriented teaching model toward a practice grounded in student agency. The results demonstrate structural maturation, with a 900% expansion of the organizing team and a total audience of 6650 attendees across nine editions. It is concluded that the Educadança has consolidated itself as a space of resistance for dance within the university curriculum and of professional empowerment, transforming extension into a vital field for applying theoretical and practical knowledge.
