Abstract

This paper discusses how academic extension can generate confluences and positively align with the Sustainable Development Goals that make up the 2030 Agenda. To this end, we analyzed actions of the Dialogues Extension and Research Group, which has been operating in the territory of Grande Bom Jardim since 2015, with articulations and partnerships involving academic and popular-community agents. The data, analyses and results derive from academic actions referenced in popular education, participant observation, social cartography and action research, among other approaches, articulating document analysis, interviews, questionnaires, technical visits and direct observation. As main results, we present theoretical-practical evidence and vectors that show the alignment of academic extension actions with sustainable development objectives and goals that make up the 2030 Agenda. Thus, the social and political relevance of academic extension is reinforced, including as it is an academic vector of dynamization and articulation with undergraduate and graduate research and teaching.
