Abstract

The use of technologies in greenhouses, with plants growing in soil or hydroponic way, continuously evolves by the use of different computational resources. This paper presents a review about the use of technologies for automated activities in greenhouses. The analysis of the works cited demonstrated the increasing use of wireless communication technologies coupled to sensors, particularly for the control of climatic variables. Related to the use of robotic features for greenhouses, it was detected a strong demand for applying them, mainly in fruit pick and plants feature extraction using images.
