Abstract
Esse estudo aborda as questões da formação docente e a temática sexualidade enquanto assuntos que apresentam desafios e contradições no contexto educacional. O objetivo desse trabalho foi de analisar o que ocorre em sala de aula quando o assunto refere-se à temática gênero, após a realização de uma oficina oferecida a alunos de Cursos de Licenciatura em Pedagogia e Educação Física, durante uma Semana de Estudos Integrados de um instituição de ensino superior do interior do estado de São Paulo. A oficina teve como título “Abordando sexualidade e gênero na formação docente”. Foi possível perceber, após análise da mesma, que os alunos dos cursos de licenciatura conhecem muito pouco sobre a temática sexualidade e especificamente gênero; há uma visão biologizante sobre o assunto e não há maturidade para um debate mais incisivo no assunto. Assim, pesquisas que envolvam a formação docente e a temática da sexualidade são fundamentais nos cursos de licenciatura, para que possam proporcionar discussões e mudanças nos currículos dos cursos de graduação para que tenhamos em um futuro próximo uma sociedade menos preconceituosa e mais tolerante.
