Black pedagogies: formative experiences for the education of ethnic-racial relations

Abstract

This paper discusses how the exercise of scientific initiation, the production of course conclusion papers, the organization and participation in workshops in basic and/or higher education can organize and mobilize fundamental information for students to build knowledge about research and teaching as inseparable elements. The discussion presented was based on a review of the literature in Education of Ethnic-Racial Relations, in particular the theme of Black pedagogies, and reports of projects produced by the research group. The discussion allowed us to understand that we would not be able to create circles to share and conceive emancipating experiences without wishing to exercise pedagogical practices referenced in the socio-territorial experience of the subjects: practices that produce, among other aspects, innovative methods, problematize authorial propositions and recognize overcoming of inequalities as a fundamental educational principle.
