The methodology adopted was the bibliographic and documentary research and Distance Education in Mozambique and Brazil. However, it is perceived that the country’s challenge is immense, since, due to its recent past of colonization and civil war, it has been unable to develop from an educational point of view and it is in a situation where the lack of access to Basic and Higher Education promotes a resurgence of national inequality. Thus, it is observed that there is still much to be done so that the education of the country has a greater population reach, but the Distance Education can emerge as a way to promote a rapid and necessary recovery in the face of the historical problems suffered by the population and that currently reverberate in poverty and inequality.
