AVALIAÇÃO DE ESPECTROS DE RESPOSTA EM EXCITAÇÕES SÍSMICAS RESULTANTES DE DESMONTES SUBAQUÁTICOS

Abstract

The problematic of ground-induced vibrations can be potentialized when it comes from underwater blasting, since seismic events generated by these activities can be more danger than those produced by conventional blasting.  The potential damage evaluation of sensible structures can be efficiently carried out through the application of response spectrum techniques. Hence, the understanding of the spectral phenomena become essential for a correct assessment of the impact of underwater blasting and dredging projects. Thus, 240 seismographic records, resulting from two important infrastructure projects, were evaluated in order to identify the presence of energy in the low dominant frequencies range.
