Abstract

The objective of this work is to evaluate the lighting conditions of classrooms of a public university located in the northern region. The study verified whether the lighting of the evaluated rooms is standardized according to the Brazilian Standards: Occupational Hygiene Standard 11 (NHO-11), Regulatory Standard 17 (NR-17) and NBR ISO / CIE 8995-1: 2013. To measure Lux indices, the luximeter equipment calibrated according to the manufacturer's technical specifications was used. By analyzing the results obtained, it was found that the ambient lighting rates are below what the technical standards establish. The results show that it is necessary to adjust the lighting of the studied environments to provide better conditions for students' learning.
