INVESTIGAÇÃO DO DESEMPENHO MECÂNICO DE EIXOS DE TRANSMISSÃO UTILIZADOS EM EMBARCAÇÕES TIPO RABETA: ESTUDO EM CARREGAMENTO ESTÁTICO E DINÂMICO
Abstract
In the present work, the mechanical in static and dynamic loading behavior of carbon steel shafts used in small tail-type vessels typical of the Amazonian region was studied. The analyzed material was obtained from the local shop and then cut and machined according to the dimensions for the fatigue test, besides the performance of the microstructural characterization of the material, as well as evaluation of the dispersion of the results according to the Weibull methodology. The results obtained in four imposed load conditions were plotted on a voltage graph tension X amount of cycles, where a transition from the low cycle fatigue conditions to the high cycle occur to the stresses below 150 MPa was observed, as was the purchase the validity of the data obtained by analyzing the Weibull distribution. In addition, the metallographic analysis indicated the presence of exogenous material in the basic steel composition, indicating that the mechanical results may have been affected by the quality of the material of the axes.
