Abstract

Abstract: Even in the early stages of a work, pathologies in buildings can arise, often caused by the low level of technical training of workers involved in the construction process, the use of materials of questionable quality or the inadequate execution of the work. It can be seen that, due to the intensification of civil construction in recent years, the presence of pathological manifestations in buildings has intensified, being noticed in large and small works. This article aims to identify the main pathologies in single-family homes inserted in the hot and humid environment of the Brazilian Amazon. To this end, a bibliographic survey was carried out analyzing the pathologies in single-family homes, describing their main manifestations and possible solutions. It was noted that the frequent defects in single-family homes in Rondônia are associated with cracks, cracks, cracks, breakdown of cladding, infiltration and moisture. In this context, they are pathologies that are influenced by the hot and humid environment in which they are inserted, added to human error. Therefore, knowing the main pathologies that affect buildings and the influence of the environment in which the building is inserted, allows professionals to adopt measures for the prevention, maintenance, identification and repair of defects.
