Abstract

Water scarcity is a worldwide environmental concern. As a consequence, research is carried out to optimize water resources. The use of rainwater or condensation from air conditioners is an alternative for systems that do not require potable water. In parallel, with the exponential advancement of new automation technologies, it is interesting to combine the context of sustainability with the implementation of automated systems, helping to save water. In view of the above, a study was carried out to analyze the volume of the reservoir and the elaboration of a circuit for the automation of the reservoir and the use of water in irrigation at the IFSP, Campus Votuporanga. Finally, it was possible to verify that, according to the demand adopted, the system has great potential to become a viable and sustainable solution, in addition to the reduction of waste that intelligent irrigation provides is also evident with the simulations of circuit operation, which will only be irrigated if soil and reservoir conditions are adequate.
