DETERMINAÇÃO DA ASSERTIVIDADE DE AGENTES MANCHANTES UTILIZADOS NA ANÁLISE DA POROSIDADE SUPERFICIAL APARENTE EM PORCELANATOS POLIDOS
Abstract
The study of staining porcelain tiles, especially polished ones, is something constant in the ceramic industry, as it directly affects the final quality of the product and in an extremely negative way when this characteristic is manifested. In polished porcelain tiles, this guarantee in the process is given by controlling the apparent porosity that is opened after polishing the ceramic piece. With this premise in mind, the present study sought to delimit, through an experimental procedure, derived from NBR 13818: 97 Annex G, which are the best staining agents for the determination of apparent porosity in polished porcelain tiles. Two porcelain samples were listed, differing their background color and 9 staining agents for the study of their interactivity through staining test. According to the literature, it has been proven that penetrating agents are the most effective for this purpose, with Nugget® and the whiteboard brush being the most effective in the condition of the study. Both presented an impregnation that could not be removed, allowing the identification of porosity and observations relevant to the study.
