REDIMENSIONAMENTO DO MOINHO DE BOLAS DE SEIXOS DA COOPERATIVA DOS GARIMPEIROS DE PEDRA LAVRADA/PB

Abstract

The comminution circuit of the prospector cooperative in the municipality of Pedra Lavrada-PB, operates in the crushing and grinding of potassium feldspar and of the albite. The grinding step is carried out in a pebble ball mill, with the intention of reaching the specifications of 200 # albite feldspar granulometry.To perform the resizing of the grinding equipment, the methods developed by the manufacturer Metso were used, which is done with the aid of operating tables, and the Bond equation used in determining the energy calculation. The results obtained suggested that the mill has the following characteristics: nominal diameter of 2,44 m and nominal length of 2,44 m, operating speed of 21,30 rpm or 76,1% of the critical speed, motor power installed in the amount of 237,0 HP, material discharge by overflow, and the percentage of load volume of pebble balls corresponding to 45% of the total volume.
