CÉLULA A COMBUSTÍVEL TIPO PEMFC
ENERGIA RENOVÁVEL E EFICIENTE
Abstract
This work presents a description of main components of a Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell. The electrochemical reactions that take place in this fuel cell were explained, and the bipolar plates, gas diffusion layer and solid electrolyte functions were detailed. The assembly of a fuel cell was presented, and the external structure for its operation was discussed. Finally, the polarization curves and the efficiency of the fuel cell were presented, with a discussion about the polarization losses. Concluding the article, observations about the global market insertion of this technology are made, indicating this new path of energy distributed network.
