AVALIAÇÃO DOS DEFEITOS DE PAVIMENTO FLEXÍVEL ATRAVÉS DO MÉTODO DO ÍNDICE DE GRAVIDADE GLOBAL (IGG) EM APUCARANA-PR
Abstract
Monitoring the condition of a flexible pavement is important to assess the defects present and thus pay attention to the need or not for interventions. This work allowed the analysis of irregularities present in the surface of 2200 meters of Denhei Kanashiro Street, in Apucarana-PR, through the objective method of the Global Gravity Index (IGG). The mapping of all the defects present on the road surface was carried out in 44 analyzed stations, in which it was possible to identify, quantify and calculate how much the irregularities present in the road interfered with its quality. The concept reached for the entire studied extension was “bad”, due to the great presence of defects in its first half. It was concluded that the first 1100 meters of the track analyzed should have greater attention to their irregularities. It is recommended that pavement monitoring and assessment activities be carried out periodically, in order to guarantee quality to road users and ensure more efficient public pavement management.
