SENSORIAMENTO DE PRECIPTAÇÃO ATMOSFÉRICA DE ÁGUA – AUTOMAÇÃO RESIDENCIAL

Abstract

Meteorological conditions like precipitation (rainfall) influence the condition of comfort inside a house, especially through entrances such as windows and doors. In this way, in order to keep the comfort and security to the residents, this study presents the development of a sensor to detect the rainfall, to the residential automation, such as the automatic closed of windows and doors. The sensor’s design was conceived based an optical principles, mainly light reflection and refraction phenomena. Therefore, it was used two glass slides were used to trap the droplets of the rain in such a way that the light modes reach the receiving slide and permeate it. The greater the amount of light that reaches the LDR, indicates the lower the ohmic magnitude recorded and then by using the program developed in C++ language to automate the closing of residential’s windows and doors, the control output to perform this action is triggered, improvement in the quality of live (comfort, tranquility and security) to the residents of the house in case of rainfall.
