EVALUATION OF CARBONATING INTERFERENCE IN CONCRETE RESISTANCE THROUGH NON-DESTRUCTIVE TESTS
Abstract
The study aims to find the compressive strength by means of the ultrasonic and sclerometry test in test specimens and carbonated and non-carbonated concrete cubes, in order to analyze the influence of carbonation on the results. Subsequently, are compared the resistances between the samples subjected to carbon dioxide application with those that are not through dispersion graphs and the depth of carbonation through the column graphs. Through the results, the carbonation phenomenon interfered in the compressive strength for the non-destructive tests, improving the surface hardness of the concrete. The samples that involved higher resistances had lower carbonation depths and lower porosity.
