FABRICAÇÃO DE UMA LIGA EQUIATÔMICA DE TINI COM EFEITO MEMÓRIA DE FORMA PELO MÉTODO PLASMA SKUL-PUSH PULL
Abstract
The article in question deals with the manufacture of a TiNi equiatomic alloy, with shape memory effect, through the skul-push pull plasma method. Alloys with TiNi shape memory are biocompatible, and in addition have activation and control characteristics due to their thermoelastic properties, which allows their use in several areas, such as oil and gas, aerospace and biomedical. The characterization techniques developed in this work were: x-ray diffraction, where the presence of the NiTi (B19 '), monoclinic phases, referring to martensite and the cubic phase NiTi2 (B2), referring to austenite, in addition to the precipitate Ni4Ti3, rhombohedral phase also known as R phase; resistivity, used to identify the transformation temperatures, amplitudes and hysteresis of the manufactured alloy. The Vickers microhardness mechanical test was also carried out in order to verify whether the method presented a good solidification of the alloy and a hardness consistent with the studied literature.
