AVALIAÇÃO DE MANIFESTAÇÕES PATOLÓGICAS EM EDIFICAÇÕES: ESTUDOS DE CASO EM DUAS RESIDÊNCIAS NA CIDADE DE PARAIBANO-MA

Abstract

This research presents an evaluation of the pathological manifestations in two residences in the city of Paraibano-MA, aiming to identify and investigate the pathological manifestations present in the residential buildings studied, as well as to evaluate their possible causes and solutions. A qualitative approach was adopted, since the data collection was done by the observation of the researcher, who, in September 2021, conducted inspections in the buildings, linked to surveys, photographic record of the degradations and anamnesis. After analyzing the data collected, it was possible to evaluate the degradations in the buildings and identify that some of the possible causes were rising damp due to lack of waterproofing and wrong choice of foundation, finding that, in order to solve such problems, the foundations should be reinforced and the regions in contact with the ground should be waterproofed. Therefore, it is important to emphasize that it is necessary to build with a responsible technician, aiming at a reduction of pathological problems and their losses.
