OVERVOLTAGE MITIGATION CAUSED BY PHOTOVOLTAIC GENERATION WITH VOLT-VAR AND VOLT-WATT CONTROL TECHNIQUES
Abstract
The objective of this paper is to highlitght the impact caused by the photovoltaic generation within the context of distributed generation (DG) at the voltage levels in the electric power system and demonstrate some voltage control techniques as mitigation methods for this problem. It was performed simulations using the OpenDSS and MATLAB software, where it was implemented a test system. As a result of the simulations, the overvoltage caused by the insertion of the DG was evidenced, also it was performed simulations where were implemented voltage control techniques there are applied in photoltaic inverters as a mitigation method.
