APPLICATION OF CLIPPED SOIL FOR THE RECOVERY OF A SLOPE OF THE MADEIRA RIVER
Abstract
The present work was developed with the objective of mitigating the environmental damages on a slope, located on the Madeira River, caused by the construction of the Hydroelectric Power Plant (UHE), based in the Municipality of Porto Velho, capital of the state of Rondônia (RO). To reverse the erosive processes formed at the site, the technique of soil clamping with injection of cement grout was applied, with the objective of minimizing the displacements of the slope caused by the addition of internal forces in the opposite direction to the natural settlement system, providing the stability of the same.
