IMPORTÂNCIA DO RESERVATÓRIO INDIVIDUAL NA REDUÇÃO DO CONSUMO DE ÁGUA, EM UMA CONSTRUÇÃO LOCALIZADA NA CIDADE DE ITUPIRANGA-PA
Abstract
There are three types of water supply systems that connect the distribution networks to homes, which are called, direct, indirect and mixed. A survey was carried out in a building located in the city of Itupiranga-PA, which belongs to the sanitation company that operates the city's water supply system. The objective of the research was to evaluate the flow rates of two water consumption points in the construction, for these operating by direct and indirect system. The number of people who used the environments in one day was observed, in order to record the frequency per person and the time they used each hydraulic equipment. The average flow rates of the hydraulic equipment for the system working were calculated, directly and indirectly. With the information on the use of environments and flows, the water points operating for the direct and indirect systems were compared, with a 44% reduction being observed when using the indirect system in relation to the direct one. Subsequently, the systems' flow rates were kept constant, to determine the water consumption in one year. In this construction, if the indirect system was chosen in comparison to the direct one, there will be a reduction in water consumption of 16,473.6 liters of water.
