LANTANOGLYCEROLS
SYNTHESIS AND ALTERNATIVE APPLICATION IN PENETRANTING LIQUID INSPECTIONS IN METALIC STRUCTURE
Abstract
In this work, the use of luminescent systems as a revealing agent of surface defects in metallic materials, in spection technique by penetrating liquids proved to be eficient using the molar ratio 3:1 (lanthanide ion and glycerol, respectively) in magnetic stirring, obtaining a substance capable of performing both the net function for the penetration, as the developer powder, evidenced by ultraviolet radiation. The systems were characterized by infrared spectroscopy, showing interaction and preservation of the molecular environment of the chromophore agent (glycerol); showed similarly to all obtained systems, absorption in 275 nm, by uv-vis spectroscopy; and photoluminescence spectrum characteristic of the emission related transitions of the respective systems.
