ELETRICIDADE VIA FUSÃO NUCLEAR

Abstract

This paper presents, in a simple, clear and objective way, electricity via nuclear fusion. The indissoluble relationship of the human species with electric energy, deep compatibility between energy and human development, paradigm between energy and sustenance of life, production of electric energy in the world and in Brazil. The nuclear fusion reaction and main means of achieving this process here on Earth. The machine destined to be the first nuclear fusion reactor in the world, its functioning, its operational characteristics and its brief scientific history. The construction of Tokamak reactors for controlled thermonuclear fusion to ensure supply of electricity necessary for continued development of humans on Earth and beyond. Finally, the future perspective is discussed for possible consequences arising from possibility of an unprecedented abundance of electrical energy for humanity, its benefits and responsibilities towards life on Earth.
