Abstract

Coffee farming is certainly the most representative agricultural activity with the greatest socioeconomic relevance for agribusiness in Rondônia, as it is characterized by the cultivation of small areas, which despite the low technological level, generates several jobs in the various stages of the production chain. Choosing a quality seedling, free from pests and diseases is essential, where the application of technical standards, support for rural extension, inspection of agricultural defense will favor the sustainable production of coffee plantations. However, it is at this stage that contamination and dispersion between contaminated and unharmed areas occurs of one of the main pests that limit the productivity of Coffea canephora (conilon coffee) in Rondônia, which are the phytonematodes, known as "gall nematodes". . The species Meloidogyne exigua and Meloidogyne incognita occur more frequently in the municipalities of Rondônia and cause greater economic damage. In this sense, the purpose of this work is to demonstrate the efficiency of the production of certified coffee seedlings, based on the State Program for the Prevention and Control of the Meloidogyne spp. Origin. As for the methodological aspects, the present work is characterized as a documentary research, with a quantitative research approach and descriptive characteristic, with discrete data. In addition, it has a documentary research aspect. Finally, despite the new production model, having stricter rules, imposed on the producer, the inspection and monitoring of the production of coffee seedlings has been reflecting in economic gain, credibility and expansion of the coffee plantation.
