ANÁLISE COMPARATIVA DE MISTURA PRODUZIDAS COM AREIA NATURAL E ARTIFICIAL NAS PROPRIEDADES DE UMA ARGAMASSA 3D
Abstract
The use of automation technologies improves the performance of construction industries by optimizing their processes. Studies on the application of 3D printing in construction have grown a lot in recent years due to the unique characteristics of this process, such as: cost reduction, versatility, minimal waste and absence of forms. However, one of the problems of the technique is the determination of a mortar with adequate consistency during the printing process and which, after drying, also presents an adequate resistance. In this work, the characteristics in the fresh state (plasticity and setting times) and in the hardened state (compressive strength) of mortars for 3D printing produced from two types of sand were evaluated: natural river and artificial. For a comparison of the different traits, flow table and Vicat tests were carried out and cylindrical mortar samples were molded to determine the compressive strength at the ages of 7 and 28 days. From the analysis of the results obtained, this article describes, among the two types of sand used in the research, the one that is most suitable for the parameters of 3D printing.
