PROJETO BÁSICO DE UMA LIXADEIRA DE CINTA UTILIZANDO MATERIAIS ALTERNATIVOS

Abstract

This prototype was built to assist in removing burrs and homogenizing parts to obtain uniform surfaces. The objective of this work is to elaborate the basic project of a belt sander using alternative materials. The prototype provides a removable sandpaper specialized in metal like the industrial ones sold anywhere, but it is also possible to remove burrs in wood and other materials if the distance between the pulleys and the sandpaper is changed, since the idealized model was designed from commercial sanders to remove metal burrs. Through the side grid it is possible to replace the sandpaper, which without any damage can be removed from the Belt Sander. The other mechanism seeks to tension the sandpaper through a spring and the support arm (figure 6), which also helps in its removal. It was possible to gather knowledge on the subject and elaborate a step-by-step process of manufacturing the prototype of a belt sander using alternative materials.
