ESTUDO DO CONCRETO REFORÇADO COM FIBRAS DE VIDRO - GFRC (GLASS FIBER REINFORCED CONCRETE) PARA PAINÉIS DE FECHAMENTO PRÉ-FABRICADOS
Abstract
Concrete is a cementitious material and has mechanical properties that make it one of the most used structural materials in the world. And within the cementitious materials, there is glass fiber reinforced concrete - GFRC, which receives the addition of glass fibers, with the aim of improving its mechanical performance. The influence of AR glass fiber on a cementitious composite was evaluated in this research, comparing the mechanical performance in the hardened state, such as compressive, tensile, flexural strength, in addition to the modulus of elasticity and in the fresh state, as with the determination of the specific mass and slump. It was observed in the experimental research that the glass fiber influenced the slump, having a performance 12.5% inferior to the matrix without the addition of the fiber, and also in the compressive and tensile strength, where it was observed that the composite with the addition of fiber obtained 6% higher compressive strength and 11% higher tensile strength. But it was not possible to observe a significant influence of glass fiber on the flexural strength, where the results were similar, as well as the results of the fresh density. With the results, it was possible to evaluate the influence of AR-type glass fiber in a cementitious matrix, understanding that with the proportions used in the experimental research, AR-type glass fiber must be used together with another material that provides mechanical reinforcement. main component of the cement matrix.
