INSPEÇÃO TÉCNICA: ESTUDO DE CASO DA BARRAGEM PAU FERRO LOCALIZADA NA ZONA DA MATA SUL DE PERNAMBUCO

Abstract

Hydraulic works are of great importance for the accumulation and distribution of water, therefore, a dam in Rolled Compacted Concrete (CCR) was built in the municipality of Quipapá/PE, in the Mata Sul region of Pernambuco, in order to solve the problem of water supply in five cities in the Agreste region of Pernambuco. With only 5 years old, the mother already presented expressive pathological manifestations. Currently, in addition to the anomalies, the dam has no projects in its design, as well as a lack of emergency and maintenance plans. The objective of the research was to investigate the history, arrangement, safety and pathological manifestations present in the reservoir. For this, visits were made to the Pau Ferro dam, in order to observe its body and locate the largest number of anomalies. The analysis of the Regular Safety Inspection Reports of the reservoir in question complemented the investigation of these irregularities, as well as the analysis of bibliographical research on the subject of dams. The methodology employed was essential to provide a current view of the situation of the dam, which lacks essential documents and indispensable repairs for the safety of the community residing downstream of the dam, it also ensured the finding of anomalies in various parts of the dam facing the dam upstream and downstream. downstream, drainage galleries, spillway, dissipation basin and control tower.
