ECONOMIA DE COMBUSTÍVEL COM A AUTOMATIZAÇÃO DO CÂMBIO DE VEÍCULOS
Abstract
With the passing of the years and the popularization of automobiles, the demand for vehicle optimization has motivated professionals in the automobile industry to invest more and more in shifting gears that meet the needs of consumers. Thus, analyzing the relationship between the use of the different types of gears and fuel economy and the benefits brought to the users is essential. In this sense, the objective of this study was to evaluate the fuel economy with the automation of the vehicle gearbox, aiming to identify differences between the consumption of manual and automatic gearboxes in vehicles, specifically seeking to point out advantages and disadvantages of each type of gearbox; to review the processes of combustion engines observing fuel consumption, in addition to analyzing market search trends. To this end, the methodology of Bibliographic Review was used, as it sought to analyze previous works and writings on the theme under discussion, which provided the construction of new ideas and innovative developments on the theme, obtained through logical conclusions. It was concluded that there is a series of advantages and disadvantages in each type of exchange system and the market points to an increase in the purchase and sale of vehicles that have automatic systems, even though their price is generally higher. Furthermore, it was noted that the use of automated exchange systems in vehicles does not by itself bring benefits and effective fuel economy, since the level of fuel use varies drastically due to the way the engine is used by the drivers.
